Bill Hanna '11

Bill Hanna Alpha Delta Phi

From Chapter President to Faithful Alumnus

Driving a box truck for the first time in the snow with a 26-foot Christmas tree hanging out the back might not be every Brother’s idea of a good time, but it’s a great memory for Bill Hanna ’11. Not only did Bill serve as president of the chapter before graduating in 2011, but he was also chairman of the committee for Christmas Formal. “All of the guys were up until midnight sprigging the week before the dance,” he shared. “It was just a fun time of year.”

Bill graduated with an engineering degree and currently works in the automotive industry. His girlfriend, originally from Oswego, attended ISU before, quite intelligently, transferring to Illinois. Needless to say, Bill married her in 2014 and they have recently welcomed a baby girl into their family, Scarlet Allison Hanna.

Fraternal bonds don’t end with college graduation, and Bill still connects with other Alpha Delt Brothers when he has the chance. One of his closest friends remains Mike Willard ’12, who served as chapter president after his term. Bill, along with many Alpha Delts, also served as groomsmen in the wedding of Brother James Palmer ’11 last October. It is these shared memories and continued gatherings that keep alumni connected.

Although very busy with a growing family, Bill is interested in regrowing the Alpha Delt presence back on campus in the future.
